Eric Carl, 37, of New Cumberland, was driving the vehicle, Carly Renee Taylor-Robinson, 26, of Harrisburg, was in the front seat and Darun Marquis Alexander was in the back seat, 33, of Harrisburg, according to the police.
The trio had failed to stop their vehicle when troopers Corbin Walburn and Matthew Condard attempted a traffic stop around 1:35 a.m. on Thursday, as detailed in the release.
The police pursued the vehicle, which was going at speeds of 130 mph at some points according to CBS21, until they lost sight of it on I-81 by Exit 72A near Lower Paxton Township, according to the police.
After canvassing the area and using PennDOT video all three were found dead at the scene of the crash on the North Mountain Road overpass of Interstate 81 in Lower Paxton, PSP explained.
Carl and Alexander were wanted for separate domestic abuse cases involving strangulation, and Taylor-Robinson was on probation for drug possession and a fleeing previous incident, court records show.
Their community has been sharing about its sudden loss on social media.
All three were parents and are survived by their children; and all three attended Central Dauphin High School, according to their social media profiles.
A GoFundMe has been setup by Robinson's sister Ashley who wrote the following on her campaign page, reading in part:
"We tragically lost a beautiful sister, daughter, mother and friend when Carly Robinson was killed in a tragic car accident. We are still trying to process and the grief is just beyond anything we could have imagined. Carly was always such a brave girl. She wanted to do all the things all the time. Her laugh would make the entire room laugh. She could make me laugh by just glancing at me. It's hard to imagine her children not knowing how amazing she truly was. I do know that I will find her and be her big sister in this life and every life after this. We love and miss you so much sweet girl. We hope you've found the peace you needed and we will see each other again beautiful girl. Fly high."
Funeral and memorial details have not been released.
The GoFundMe has raised $1,780 of a $8,000 goal from 28 donors, with the top donation of $500 made anonymously, all within the first 48 hours.
